Connecting Claude to Hatchik

You connect Claude to Hatchik once. There is nothing to install, no file to edit, and no key to copy anywhere.

The setup

In Claude, open Settings → Connectors and choose Add custom connector.
Paste this address: https://app.hatchik.com/mcp
Click Connect and sign in with Google — the same Google account you use for Hatchik.

When it works, ask Claude "what am I connected to Hatchik as?" and it will tell you your email address. From then on you say things like "build me a booking site" or "publish that to my draft" and it happens.

If you have read an older guide that told you to install a Python module, run a command, or paste something into an mcp.json file, that guide is out of date. The address above is the whole setup.

What Claude can do once it is connected

create a project, and build and publish a site or an app to it
publish to your locked draft, and then make the draft live once you approve
undo a change, or go back to an earlier version
read your site's recent logs when something is wrong
set up your own web address and tell you the exact DNS record to add
build you a download of everything in a project
delete a project, but only after showing you a warning and getting a code back from you

Claude never sees your database password or your API keys. Those are injected into your app by Hatchik and are never returned to a conversation.

When the connection stops working

Claude may say the Hatchik connection has expired, or that it is not authorised. Nothing has happened to your site — it is still up and still serving people. It is the connection between Claude and Hatchik that has lapsed.

To fix it: open Settings → Connectors in Claude, remove the Hatchik connector, and add it again with the address above. Sign in with Google when asked.

Cutting a tool off

If you no longer want a tool connected — you changed your mind, you stopped using it, or you think somebody else has got hold of its access — you can switch it off yourself and it stops working straight away.

Sign in at https://app.hatchik.com, open Your account, and look under Connected tools. Every AI tool that can act as you is listed there with when you connected it and when it was last used, and each one has a "Switch off" button. The same section lists any publish keys you made, with the same button.

Switching a tool off changes nothing about your work — your projects, sites, databases and data all stay exactly as they are. It only stops that tool being able to touch them. To use it again, start the connection from the tool and approve it, the same way you did the first time.

Doing it without Claude

The dashboard at https://app.hatchik.com does most of the same things by hand: it shows every project, its draft and live addresses, its status, its domains, its database size and its recent logs, and it can build you a download of everything. Your site does not depend on the connector in any way.

Other AI tools

Any tool that can add a remote MCP connector can use the same address. Tools that cannot — some coding tools only read a local config file — can publish with a deploy key instead, which you generate on the project page under "Other ways to publish". Most people never need this.
